Put your 2003 Tax Windfall to work
Thanks to the 2003 Tax Relief Act, you may be one of the 91 million people who might be receiving an average tax cut of $1,126.1
- Your paycheck has likely increased, because less money is being withheld.
- You may be paying less tax on your dividends and capital gains.
- You may be receiving a childcare credit of $400 per child.
This is indeed a "windfall" for your wallet, and conventional wisdom says that if you invest this money right away, you’ll never miss it. Armada Funds suggests you talk with your investment professional about the various ways you can use your windfall to save for the long haul:
- Start an Armada Planned Investment Program to easily and automatically build your portfolio.
- Put more money into your existing retirement accounts — and match your windfall with your own capital to "super size" your investment.
- Open a new Roth IRA for your children or yourself.
- Add to your college savings funds, or start a new college account.
- Consider tax-exempt investing in municipal bonds, now that the Alternative Minimum Tax exemption has been raised.1
- Rebalance your portfolio with the tax-savings benefits of the new dividends and capital gains tax reductions in mind.1,2
- Further diversify your portfolio by adding an Armada Fund that complements your holdings.2
