and all of interest it has earned, is taxed. An example of an investment with this status
is a Traditional IRA. |

Interest Tax-Deferred: No taxes
are paid until withdrawal. However, upon withdrawal, taxes are only paid on the interest
accrued, not the money contributed. An example of an investment with this status is common
stock. |
