ARMADA FUNDS TAKE TOP MARKETING HONORS
WASHINGTON (September 15, 2003) -- Outpacing hundreds of entrants, Armada Funds recently captured two of financial services most prestigious marketing awards.
Cited for "outstanding creativity and excellence in execution," Armada Funds received two "Best of the Best" awards from the American Bankers Association Marketing Network during its 2003 Advertising Awards Competition.
The awards were presented in Chicago at the annual ABA Marketing Conference.
Breaking with tradition, the ABA granted two top citations to Armada instead of the usual, single "Best of Best" designation per asset size category. Armada's winning brochures, "Armada Funds Investing" and "National City Charitable Gift Fund," were noted for their "outstanding creativity and excellence in execution," according to ABA spokesperson Tracey Mills.
Armada Funds' Kathleen Barr, who directed the efforts of Pittsburgh-based agency, Blattner Brunner, Inc., recently commented on Armada's marketing vision. "Investing for most people is difficult enough," Ms. Barr said. "We try to present the benefits of investing in a colorful, compelling way that also speaks to people's real life situations."
"Also, since our funds are sold through investment professionals," she continued. "We need the material to work just as well in face-to-face discussions around the kitchen table."
